Webboard Mechanics is the study of the social behaviors, or lack thereof, on forums, discussion boards and other gathering sites within the æther of electromagnetic energy that is the internet.

The science of Webboard Theory began in the year 2000 with an entity by the name of Sierra (who has since departed the our community, but that's an unrelated story) on the Ambrosia Software Forums. He devised the first Webboard Theory, Sierra's Law, after noticing a pattern in certain topics (this law has since died, but that's also another story) His science of Webboard Theory, now the study of Webboard Mechanics, has been continued by four other individuals:

OctoberFost
Begemotike
Guapo
and myself (xtal)

OctoberFost established the first description of Webboard Mechanics, but his site has fallen into a state of disrepair; his site has not been really updated in years even while he was evolving the study of Webboard Mechanics. He also devised two laws (and one unofficial one, included for the sake of this site).
Begemotike devised two laws, both of which still shine today.
Guapo corellated two laws, co-developed one and is responsible for the mathematical development of the field of Webboard Mechanics.
I, obviously, am responsible for this new site, and have also devised three laws and co-developed one, all of which are displayed often.
